About these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by The Dream Spaces (Malgorzata Szwed-Pruvot, Spain) to clients. By signing a Design Agreement or making a payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.

The Dream Spaces offers three services that build on one another: Service 01 (Plan + Design), Service 02 (Plan + Design + Style) and Service 03 (Plan + Design + Build + Style), along with optional add-on packages. The exact scope, fees and payment schedule for your project are set out in the Design Agreement and Fee Proposal issued to you, which take precedence over any general description on the website.

Scope of services

The design work for your project is set out in your Design Agreement and Fee Proposal. Depending on the service or package, it may include spatial planning, concept design, moodboards, floor plans, visualisations, lighting and technical documentation, and a shopping list. The exact deliverables for your project are those listed in your Fee Proposal. What happens after the design is approved depends on the service you choose.

Service 01 — Plan + Design

Design only. We deliver a complete design pack for you or your contractor to execute. Purchasing, delivery, installation and any construction are handled by you.

Service 02 — Plan + Design + Style

In addition to the design, we manage the furnishing: sourcing and procurement of the specified items, coordination of deliveries, quality-checking on arrival, returns, and professional installation and styling. Up to 3 delivery days and 2 installation days at the property are included; additional days are charged at €100 per day.

Service 03 — Plan + Design + Build + Style

In addition to design and styling, we coordinate the renovation. Under Option A we source and manage the contractors and supervise the works; under Option B your contractors carry out the works and we advise and supervise at €50 per hour, logged transparently. We do not carry out physical construction or labour ourselves. Structural changes, extensions, changes to the building exterior, and any planning permissions or regulatory approvals are architect-led and fall outside our scope; we coordinate with the appointed architect where one is engaged.

Any work requested beyond the agreed scope will be quoted and invoiced separately before it begins.

Fees and payment

All fees are set out in your Fee Proposal. Work on each phase begins only once the corresponding payment has been received. All payments are made by bank transfer (IBAN), and invoices are due within 7 days of issue. All fees shown on our website and in your Fee Proposal are inclusive of Spanish VAT (IVA). If an invoice is not settled, the related work does not begin or continue until payment is received. We do not charge late fees, but unpaid invoices pause the project. Fee Proposals and quotes are valid for 3 months from the date of issue. After that an unaccepted quote expires, and any new or resumed work will require a fresh quote at current rates.

Design fee (all services)

The design fee is based on the measured floor area, on a banded rate of €55 per sqm for the first 50sqm, €50 per sqm from 51 to 100sqm and €40 per sqm above 100sqm, subject to a minimum fee of €2,000. It is split into two equal payments: 50% on signing the agreement, which begins the Plan phase, and 50% on your written approval of the Plan, which begins the Design phase.

Style fee (Service 02 and 03)

The Style fee starts at €2,000 and is confirmed in your Fee Proposal. It, together with the cost of the items to be purchased, is paid in advance of procurement. The cost of furniture, materials and goods is separate from our fee and is charged to you; we purchase these on your behalf. Retailer prices and stock availability are not guaranteed by The Dream Spaces.

Build fee (Service 03)

Because construction is project-specific, the Build fee is quoted after a site assessment rather than in advance. Payment is staged: an initial payment begins the works, with further payments released at agreed milestones as the build progresses. Contractor and trade costs are paid by you directly, on our request to pay; we do not hold or handle trade money on your behalf.

Additional time

Work beyond the included revision rounds, and any other agreed additional work, is charged at €50 per hour, logged in a shared record you can review.

Revisions

One revision round is included in each of the Plan and Design phases. Each revision is confirmed in writing before it is carried out. Once a phase has been signed off in writing, further changes to that phase are treated as additional work and charged at €50 per hour.

A request to explore a fundamentally new concept falls outside the included revision and will be quoted separately before any work begins.

Cancellation and refunds

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. Where you are a consumer, you may also have statutory cancellation rights under Spanish and EU consumer law. Those rights apply in addition to this section, and nothing here removes them. Payments for work already completed or in progress at the time of termination are non-refundable.

Where items have already been ordered on your behalf under the Style service, you remain responsible for their cost, and any supplier cancellation or restocking terms apply.

On termination by The Dream Spaces, any phase that has been invoiced and paid will be delivered in full before the agreement closes, or where that is not possible, a pro-rata refund will be issued for work not yet delivered.

Client responsibilities

You are responsible for providing timely feedback and completing any briefs or questionnaires requested. Late feedback will extend the project timeline accordingly.

You are responsible for the accuracy of any measurements or floor plans you supply. The Dream Spaces accepts no liability for design errors resulting from inaccurate client-provided information.

For the Style and Build services, you are responsible for providing safe and timely access to the property, including keys where agreed, so that deliveries, installation and works can proceed.

Timelines

All timelines are estimates. Plan and Design together typically take 4 to 10 weeks depending on size, complexity and the speed of your feedback. The Style phase adds roughly a further 4 to 12 weeks, driven mainly by furniture delivery times. Build timelines are quoted individually after a site assessment.

Delays caused by late feedback, third parties, suppliers or contractors will extend the timeline. We will notify you promptly of any schedule changes within our control.

Procurement and installation

Under Service 01, you place all orders, track deliveries and manage returns yourself, using the shopping list we provide.

Under Service 02 and 03, we order the signed-off items on your behalf, coordinate deliveries, check quality on arrival and manage returns. Goods remain your property and your financial responsibility. Delivery timescales are set by suppliers and are outside our control. Installation is carried out within the included days, with additional days charged as set out above.

Ownership and intellectual property

All design documents, drawings, visualisations and sourcing lists created by The Dream Spaces remain its intellectual property. On receipt of final payment for the relevant phase, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the designs for the property described in the agreement.

The Dream Spaces may photograph completed work and use those images, and a general description of the project, for portfolio and marketing purposes. We will not publish your name, exact address or other identifying details without your consent.

Liability

The Dream Spaces provides design and coordination services and is not liable for contractor errors, defects in workmanship, third-party or supplier delays, or any consequences arising from the physical execution of a build carried out by contractors.

Under Service 03 Option A we coordinate and supervise the contractors but do not guarantee the work of third parties; under Option B, where you appoint and manage the contractors, responsibility for the works rests with you and them. Our total liability under any agreement shall not exceed the total fees paid to The Dream Spaces for that project, excluding the cost of goods and contractor payments.

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish law.

Confidentiality

All client information, property details and project financials are kept strictly confidential and are not shared with third parties except suppliers and contractors as needed to deliver the agreed services. Personal data is processed solely to deliver those services, in accordance with GDPR and Spanish data protection law. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.

Unavailability

If The Dream Spaces is unable to continue a project due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be notified as soon as possible. Any phase already paid for will be completed where possible, or a pro-rata refund issued for work not yet delivered. Where items have been ordered or contractors engaged, those commitments remain payable.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Málaga, Spain.
