If your question isn't here, just get in touch. We are happy to talk through anything before you commit to anything.
No. The Plan and Design phases can also run remotely. We work with clients both on the coast and further afield.
The phases that need us on the ground are Style and Build: the Style phase, where we coordinate deliveries and install everything at the property, and the Build phase, where we coordinate the renovation on site. Both run smoothly for properties within about an hour's drive of Málaga city.
For locations over one hour drive (for example Estepona or Sevilla), we can discuss what would work for both sides before we begin, or you take the design and handle the rest with your own team.
The Plan and Design phases can run fully online. The only thing you need to do is to share the floor plans, photos and a brief. We take it from there. If you don't have accurate floor plans, we can work with photos and rough measurements.
English is the main working language of the studio, and all written communication and documentation is in English by default. We also speak Polish and conversational Spanish, so if you would rather talk something through in one of those, that is fine too.
That is your choice, and it is what our three services are for. You can take the design only and run everything yourself, or have us handle progressively more of it: the furnishing and styling, or the full renovation as well. In short, we can do as little or as much as you need.
See the Pricing page for what each service covers, and the Process page for how it runs.
Yes, and it is built into how we work. Each phase is invoiced before it begins and that payment secures only the phase ahead, not the whole project. So if you start, for instance, with Service 03 (Plan, Design, Build and Style) and your circumstances change, so that now you would only need the Plan and Design, that is completely fine. You stop at the point you have paid up to, with no penalty for the phases you decide not to take.
It works the other way too. If you sign up for Service 01 (Plan and Design) and later realise you would also like us to handle the styling or the build, we will be happy to carry on. We pick up where we left off and invoice the next phase as normal.
The design fee is based on the floor area, on a banded rate: the first 50sqm at €55/sqm, 51 to 100sqm at €50/sqm, and anything above 100sqm at €40/sqm, with a minimum fee of €2,000. It is calculated on the total measured area, not the number of rooms. All prices are VAT inclusive.
The Pricing page has worked examples for typical property sizes.
Payment is requested before the start of a new phase. The fee for our Plan + Design phase is split 50/50: half after the agreement is signed and before we begin with the Plan phase, and the remaining half once you approve the Plan, which will move us to the Design phase.
The fee for the Style phase, plus the cost of the purchased items, needs to be paid before procurement begins. For the Build phase, an initial payment starts the work and further payments are released at agreed milestones as it progresses. Contractor costs are always paid directly by you, on our request to pay, we never hold trade money.
Payments are made by bank transfer (IBAN). All prices are VAT inclusive.
No, the cost of furniture, materials and goods is always separate from our fee. The Style and Build phases include full procurement managed by us. We source, buy and manage deliveries on your behalf.
It's important that you pay us for the furniture up front, so that we can start the procurement phase promptly, as it does take several weeks for everything to arrive. For the Building phase, you pay the contractors directly on our signal, so they can also purchase all the necessary materials. We never hold trade money.
No. You pay the retail price for everything we source, with no markup added on top. Many studios mark up furniture and materials, sometimes by a significant amount, and fold it into the project cost. We don't do that. Our fee is our fee, the items are charged at what they actually cost and you see the prices in full.
The minimum design fee is €2,000, which covers projects up to roughly 35sqm. A single room would need to fall under our minimum fee. If you are not sure whether a full design service makes sense for your budget and scope, get in touch and we will tell you honestly.
We have our preferred aesthetics, but we design for the property, the client and the context. Mediterranean references come naturally given where the studio is based, but much of our work sits somewhere between relaxed sophistication and bold personality.
What we won't do is generic. If it feels like a hotel catalogue, we haven't done our job.
One revision round is included in each of the Plan and Design phases. In practice this is usually enough, because we define the brief carefully and confirm every decision in writing before any work begins. Anything beyond the included round is charged hourly for the extra time involved, logged so you can see exactly where it went.
This is rare, because you are not handed a finished design out of nowhere. The direction is agreed and signed off during the Plan phase, before any detailed design work begins, so by the time you see the full design it is built on choices you have already approved.
One revision round is included in each of the Plan and Design phases, folded into the price and our process. These gates are important and are there to make sure the final design reflects you. However, if you find you want a completely different direction, that means exploring the design again from the beginning, which is also completely fine. This means we either restart that work as a fresh piece, or move to an hourly rate of €50 to develop new options with you. Either way, nothing changes without your say-so and you always know the cost before we start.
No. We design to your budget so you feel comfortable with what you are buying. We are experienced at sourcing good-quality materials and furniture from Spanish and European suppliers that go well beyond the brands everyone already knows.
Yes. Holiday rentals and investment properties are a speciality, and we understand the holiday rental market on the coast well. It makes a real difference to know what makes a property photograph well, feel welcoming to guests and hold up to regular use. If maximising rental returns is the goal, that shapes every decision from layout to materials to furniture. The Rental Strategy add-on goes a step further, covering the pricing, listing and guest experience that turn a beautiful property into a booked one.
Apart from a rough idea of what you want, you don't need anything at all. We always start with a free 15 minutes discovery call. This is a relaxed conversation about your property, your budget and your expectations. There is no hard sell, as this is not how we like to work. The enquiry form takes about two minutes and gives us enough to come back to you with something useful during our call.
We reply within two working days to set up a free 15-minute discovery call. That call is a no-commitment conversation to talk through the project and check we are a good fit. If we are, we sign a design agreement, confirm the scope, and the Plan phase begins.
The Process page walks through the whole journey step by step.
Plan and Design together typically take 4 to 10 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the project and how quickly feedback comes through. The Style phase adds roughly another 4 to 12 weeks on top, mostly driven by production times and furniture delivery times that are out of our control. A Build phase is quoted with its own timeline after a site assessment, since construction is project-specific.
If you have a deadline, tell us upfront and we will plan around it.
The first 15-minute discovery call is free. It is a conversation where we talk through your project and answer your questions, so you feel comfortable before committing to anything.
It is tempting to think styling is simply buying nice things and arranging them well. But it only works because of what comes before it. The planning and design is where the real work happens. We take accurate measurements, optimise the layout that is based on your lifestyle and daily circulation, and make the decisions on colours, materials and finishes. Most of all it is where we prepare the full schedule of every piece of furniture and furnishing we intend to buy, sized and specified for the room.
Styling is the moment we place and install everything we worked on in the previous phase. Without that groundwork we would be guessing with your money and likely to make some mistakes along the way. Our styling always sits on a plan. That said, if your project is small or straightforward, we can trim the detail of the planning and design work to fit you and discuss a custom quote. Get in touch and we will talk through what makes sense on a call.
We handle the complete interior renovation within your property's existing footprint. Anything structural that changes the layout - moving or removing walls, extensions, changes to the exterior - needs to be architect-led. We work alongside architects and integrate the interior design so the two sit together seamlessly.
One round of revisions is included in each of the Plan and Design phases, which is usually enough because we lock the direction in writing before moving on. If you want changes beyond that round, they are charged at €50 per hour, logged transparently in a shared logbook so you can always see what the time was spent on.
Most delays come from one of two places: feedback taking longer than expected, or the brief changing midway. We manage the first by telling you exactly when your input is needed, and the second by locking the brief in writing before any design work starts. Our timelines are realistic, not optimistic. If something on our side slips, we tell you early. We do not let a project go quiet.
No, and it is worth explaining why honestly. Trade pricing in this industry is built around volume, where the meaningful discounts come from placing large, repeat orders with a single brand. A residential project draws on many different suppliers and usually only a few pieces from each, which is rarely enough to unlock a real trade rate on any one item. So rather than imply savings we cannot reliably deliver, we keep it simple: you pay retail, with no markup from us on top.
It is worth noting that this is the industry standard. Passing trade discounts on to clients is not something interior design or architecture studios typically do, for the reasons above.
